Friday Favourites: The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter

Hey, it’s Michelle! Because I’m a uncreative piece of crap, I’m going to steal Emilie’s idea about Friday Favourites!! *angel face* As a fellow book nerd, I need to share my favourite books!!! Thank god Emilie is my best friend. ❤ I just have so many favourite books, and what better way to share my love is through this new series Em came up with?

So, in advance, thanks Em for letting me be included with your new series, Friday Favourites!

Now, today’s Friday Favourite is…

The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter

9681214Every girl who had taken the test has died.

Now it’s Kate’s turn.

It’s always been just Kate and her mom – and her mother is dying. Her last wish? To move back to her childhood home. So Kate’s going to start at a new school with no friends, no other family and the fear that her mother won’t live past the fall.

Then she meets Henry. Dark. Tortured. And mesmerizing. He claims to be Hades, god of the Underworld – and if she accepts his bargain, he’ll keep her mother alive while Kate tries to pass seven tests.

Kate is sure he’s crazy – until she sees him bring a girl back from the dead. Now saving her mother seems crazily possible. If she succeeds, she’ll become Henry’s future bride and a goddess.

If she fails…

Now, this book is one of my old favourites. It holds a special place in my heart because this trilogy is the first I’ve ever completely owned.

What makes it a favourite?

  • This book is a whole new twist on Greek Mythology. Percy Jackson was good, but I think this is better.
  • The romance is to die for! This book will make you cry, squeal and coo. It’s perfect for romance fans like moi.
  • The characters are relatable and fun to read about! Kate, Henry and the other secondary characters are sassy, smart, kind, mean, and reserved. There are various personalities and all have a part in the story.
  • The story is original and creative. The following books are also interesting and have a unique plot as well.

This book is perfect for young YA readers and Aimee Carter knows how to write an amazing story. This was her first novel and she passed the test of forever favourites with flying colours.

Keep calm and read on!
