Soft and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

There have been many times when I wanted to bake but I didn’t know what I wanted to bake. Whenever this happens, I always decide to make chocolate chip cookies. However, I have yet to find, and save, a good recipe. If the cookies didn’t become hard and crunchy shortly after cooling, I would lose the recipe. It seemed like I couldn’t keep a good chocolate chip cookie recipe. All of this changed when I found this one. Before I made these cookies, I expected the same outcome. I don’t think I was ever this happy to be wrong. They were yummy AND soft!

  • 2/3 cup  butterDSC_0004-3
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 1 2/3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cups chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Beat butter, sugars and vanilla until light and creamy
  3. Add water, and mix until well blended
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt and baking powder
  5. Add the flour mixture and mix until it is well blended
  6. Stir in chocolate chips
  7. Scoop cookie dough on to a baking sheet and bake for 15 mins
  8. Place the sheet on a rack to cool

Overall these cookies were super easy to make and they turned out amazing, I hope that you enjoy this recipe as much as I did! Good luck and have fun baking.
